Friendship Quilt Guild holds joint meeting

The Friendship Quilt Guild held its annual joint meeting of the day and night groups on July 12. The group enjoyed a potluck dinner. The program was given by Cheryl Ashpaugh of Guymon, OK, who designs her own quilts and does long arm quilting at her shop in Guymon.

BROOME RECEPTION HELD AT PAC—Family, staff, and friends gathered at the Perryton Activity Center last week to hold a farewell reception for Daniel Broome, director of the PAC, and his wife Kat. The Broomes will be moving to Deer Park, Texas soon.

The Donor Alliance® reports that just one donor can save up to eight lives through organ donation. Organs that can be donated include the heart, liver, lungs, kidneys, pancreas, and small intestine.

Baby boomers hold around 12 jobs in their lifetime

According to a 2019 Bureau of Labor Statistics survey of baby boomers, the average number of jobs held in a lifetime is 12. Women spend slightly less time in companies than men. In its 2018 Employee Tenure Summary, the BLS reported the median tenure for women is 4 years and 4.3 for men.
