RIBBON CUTTING FOR NEW BAKERY—Members of the Perryton Ochiltree Chamber of Commerce gathered on Thursday afternoon for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the grand opening of B’s Wildflour Bakery at 3010 Garrett Drive. The bakery and coffee shop is owned by Betty and Gary Smith.

Erratic weather dealt Texas vineyards a difficult growing season as the industry continues to recover from pandemic-related setbacks, according to Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service experts.

Choir students compete at state

Choir students from Perryton High School competed at this summer’s Texas State Solo/Ensemble Contest recently. The students performed virtually rather than traveling to a central location for this year’s contest. Competitors included 14 soloists, as well as an eightmember ensemble.
