Pathways program enrollment underway The Pathways Scholarship Program is accepting student pledge contracts for 2025-26 until Tuesday, Sept. 30. Pathways is open to all Perryton High School freshmen, and eligible sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

THURMAN APPOINTED PRECINCT 2 COMMISSIONER

Brent Thurman was appointed as Ochiltree County’s new commissioner for Precinct 2 on Friday morning. Thurman will fill the unexpired term left when former commissioner Joe Johnson died in July — that term expires on Dec. 31, 2026. Thurman is a farmer and the retired superintendent at Mewbourne Oil.
