Maddie Schickedanz, a member of Perryton’s chapter of Future Farmers of America, has been awarded the American Degree at the 98th National FFA Convention and Expo on Nov. 1 in Indianapolis.

All 17 of the proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution were approved statewide after Tuesday’s election.In Ochiltree County, a total of 582 ballots were cast in the election, around an 11% turnout.County voters also approved all the proposed amendments on the election, most by wide margins.

The Ochiltree United Way’s 2026 campaign made more progress over the past week. It has now reached close to 34% of its $98,000 goal this week.It has raised $33,003 from donors so far.
