Tommy Lozure is a winner. He vowed to succeed regardless of the disadvantages that mounted up against him. Some disadvantages were small while others were relatively large, but Tommy tossed those aside and trampled on them on his way to success. He is one of the best folks in the world.

Day quilt group votes on challenge projects

The day group of the Friendship Quilt Guild met Nov. 11. President Ilene Floyd conducted the meeting. Members voted on last year’s challenge, log cabin. Several members brought in beautiful quilts, quilt tops, wall hangings and home decor pieces to be voted on.

Hansen gives program to Jennie June Club

The Jennie June Club met Nov. 11 at Perry Memorial Library. Hostesses were Debby Schollenbarger, Carolyn Thomas and Sandra Splawn. The program was given by Mette Hansen from The Flower Pot. She talked about how she and her family had immigrated from Denmark.

Night quilt group names winners of challenge

The Friendship Quilt Guild night group met Nov. 10 at Community Worship Center. Guild president Pam Sanders opened the meeting with prayer and discussion of guild business, including planning the December Christmas party, with the implementation of safety measures due to COVID-19.

What a fun Friday we had around here last week. Lacie Bridwell and Sheila Harris showed up to lend a helping hand. They both had basically the same story: I’m bored at home and need something to do. It’s hard to imagine Lacie bored.
