THERAPY DOGS VISIT PHS

On Wednesday, nine therapy go teams from Panhandle Area Community Therapies visited Perryton High School. They were invited to cheer up students, who enjoyed the visit. Teams from Perryton, Canadian, Pampa, Borger, Lipscomb and Follett attended the event.

Blasingame chosen as PPW Young Careerist

Megan Blasingame has been named the Young Careerist of the Month by the Panhandle professional Women’s Club. She is married to Dr. Jay Blasingame, and they have two children, Catherine, 2 1/ 2, and Mary Michael, almost six months old.

The Friendship Quilt Guild night group meet March 9 at Community Worship Center. Cynthia Shattles gave an educational program on how to make t-shirt quilts, with a number of ideas shown.

Owls Benefit Airport

When snowy owls fly south for the winter, they choose places that remind them of the empty open tundra back home. A big city airport fills the bill because more snowy owls congregate at Boston’s Logan Airport than any other Massachusetts spot.
