OGH Board approves colonoscope purchase

The Ochiltree County Hospital District Board of Directors met on Monday evening in the conference center at Ochiltree General Hospital.Among other items on the agenda, the hospital board approved the purchase of a pediatric flexible -from Olympus America for the hospital’s surgery department.

Texas hemp industry is feeling effect of looming ban

A nationwide ban on THC, the psychoactive ingredient in some hemp products, is already affecting business owners selling products derived from hemp, according to the Chronicle. But the owners are hopeful they can convince Congress to overturn the ban before it takes effect next November.

United Way drive reaches 74% of goal

The Ochiltree United Way’s 2026 fund drive continued to make progress, and is now at 74% of the $98,000 goal. The drive has raised $72,812 so far.No new 100% Companies joined the list.

Chamber is seeking nominations for Citizen of Year

The Perryton-Ochiltree Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the prestigious Citizen of the Year award, which will be presented at the Chamber’s annual banquet. The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, Jan. 16, at 5 p.m.
