Tea party set at Museum of the Plains The Museum of the Plains invites parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, and more to an old-fashioned Afternoon Tea Party on Sunday, Jan. 18, from 1-3 p.m. Enjoy tea, punch, finger sandwiches, cookies, and good company. Admission is free.

City’s sales tax payment up 7%

The City of Perryton’s sales tax payment for January2026 showed a nice increase.The city received $229,371, which is almost 7% higher than its payment in January 2025.Around the area, almost all of the cities saw increases in their payments as well.Amarillo received a payment of $8.

Stock show includes over 100 animals

The 88th annual Ochiltree County Junior Livestock Show and Sale is slated for Jan. 16-17, with preliminary activities beginning at midweek. The Perryton High School FFAand the Ochiltree County 4-H members will be showing more than 100 animals.
One member of the Perryton High School Choir is advancing to State auditions. Bass singer Samuel DeSantiago advanced to Pre-Area choir auditions at Tascosa High School and will audition for the State Choir at Legacy High School in Midland on Jan. 10.
