Kids fishing tournament set for June 7 The Wolf Creek Park Improvement Board will host its annual Children’s Fishing Tournament on Saturday, June 7, at Lake Fryer in Wolf Creek Park. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the Pavilion east of the Lobo Restaurant.

Perryton High School students were honored and recognized Monday evening for their academic achievements during the year at the Academic Awards Banquet held in the Rangerette Gym.Lindsey Valenzuela was announced as the valedictorian of the Class of 2025, with Caden Rodriguez as the salutatorian.

City now taking applications for h-m tax funding

The City of Perryton is now taking applications from organizations seeking to apply for hotel-motel occupancy tax funds.Applications are available at City Hall. The application will cover events or projects happening between Oct. 1, 2025 through Sept. 30, 2026.
Perryton High School’s annual art show will run through May 19 during school hours at the high school. The Best in Show and purchase prize award went to Sadie Cummins for “Stay Focused,” a color pencil drawing, which will be added to the high school’s permanent art collection. Cummins also received a $150 cash prize for his winning artwork.
