City’s sales tax payment stays steady in July
The Museum of the Plains’ annual smoked pork tenderloin fundraiser was held last Thursday at the museum. Chefs from all over the area got together Friday morning to season and grill hundreds of pork tenderloins in preparation for the hungry diners who showed up in the afternoon to pick up their meals. Frank Phillips College, Allen Campus, hosted the first session of their annual Kids College last week, with fun classes for kids 5-12 focusing on Hawaii. Kids enjoyed classes about arts and crafts, ocean life, science, music, painting, and more. Pictured are the kids in the 9-12 age group’s arts and crafts class decorating ukuleles.

VINTAGE VEHICLES TO VIEW—The Ochiltree County Senior Citizens Association held their annual car show fundraiser on June 19 at the Senior Citizen Center. Attendees got a meal of homemade hamburgers, as well as the chance to check out a bunch of classic, vintage, and muscle cars.
