With a sharp rise in boating- related fatalities and a spike in arrests for boating while intoxicated (BWI), Texas Game Wardens remind boaters to follow the rules and safety precautions that can help them avoid preventable accidents as they head to the water to beat the summer heat.

Museum sets chicken painting workshop The Museum of the Plains at 1200 N. Main in Perryton will host an acrylic painting workshop on Saturday, July 26, from 1-4 p.m. Participants will create a painting of a chicken with any wild colors you want. Cost of the workshop is $15.
