Mary Lou Hummer, 88, of Fort Worth, formerly of Booker, died April 20, 2023.
Services were held Tuesday, April 25, at First Christian Church in Perryton with Ralph Maxfield officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
She was born Jan. 26, 1935 in Booneville, AR, and grew up on a farm in Arkansas. After graduating from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS, she moved to Perryton to teach school. She married David Hummer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David; her parents, Hedrick and Sylvia Smith; and one sister, Laverne Nelson.
She is survived by three daughters, Malinda Hummer and Stacey Herring of Fort Worth and Susan Randall of Oklahoma City, OK; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Perry Memorial Library, 22 SE 5th Ave. or Ochiltree General Hospital Hospice Volunteers, 3019 S. Main.
