Candidate filing for the 2022 Texas Primary Elections opened on Saturday, and several local races have already drawn candidates.
All of the incumbents have filed for another term in the Republican primary.
They include Justice of the Peace William “Bucky” Goldsberry, Precinct 4 Commissioner Kevin Walker, Precinct 2 Commissioner Joe Johnson, County Judge Charles Kelly, District Clerk Shawn Bogard, and newly appointed officials County Clerk Sandra Limas and County Treasurer Tambra Kile.

There is no Democratic Party chairman in Ochiltree County.
The filing period runs through Monday, Dec. 13. The primary elections will be held on March 1, 2022.
