Vernon Pshigoda 75, of Perryton Texas passed away in Perryton, on Sunday August 3, 2025.
Viewing will be on Thursday August 7, 2025, and Friday August 8,2025, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Perryton, Texas. The family would also like everyone to know that they are welcome to come and visit with the family at the family home.
Services will be held SaturdayAugust 9, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Key Heights Baptist Church in Perryton, officiated by Rev. Duce Cooper. Burial will follow in Ochiltree Cemetery in Perryton. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton.
Vernon was born on May 17, 1950, in Perryton, to Fred and Pauline Pshigoda. Vernon graduated from Perryton High School in 1969, following graduation he attended business school. Vernon married his high school sweetheart Jean in 1972; they were married for 53 years. They had two sons: Brian in 1974 and Brandon in 1975. Vernon worked at North Plains Electric, after attending computer school, for 43 years.
Vernon loved his music, his sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren. Vernon loved helping Brian on the farm and making everyone laugh and enjoy life. He also loved sports and following Brandon on his many accomplishments. Vernon and the boys enjoyed riding motorcycles and following grandkids around with sports and all their activities. Vernon loved playing softball with the Perryton Blues team. He was instrumental in building the fields, where the Perryton Rangerettes are now homed.
Vernon is survived by his wife; Jean Pshigoda of Perryton; two sons, Brian Pshigoda and wife Tamarachena of Perryton, and Brandon Pshigoda and wife Cerise of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Dillon Pshigoda and wife Lexi of Perryton, Tad Pshigoda and wife Becky of Canyon, Carlee Pshigoda of Amarillo, and Brance Pshigoda of Amarillo; one greatgrandson, Ryker Pshigoda of Perryton; and one brother; Duane Pshigoda of Perryton.
The Pshigoda Family would also like to say they are so blessed and thankful for Michelle and Bonita, who have helped with all his medical conditions the last several years.
