Clara May Boren, 93, of Booker, died Dec. 10, 2022 in Perryton.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Booker Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Richards and Rev. Gene McPeak officiating. Burial followed in Heart Cemetery in Booker. Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
She was born Aug. 27, 1929 in Woods County, OK, and married Ben Allen Boren on March 15, 1951 in Alva, OK. She and her husband were former owners of The Booker News.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, William and Cora (Corbin) Crusinbery; three sisters, Marjorie Hadley, Mildred Benson and Gladys Snyder; and one brother, Glen C. Crusinbery.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas Boren of Aline, OK and Don Boren of Lubbock; one daughter, Kathryn Boren of Lubbock; two sisters, Dorothy Ashton of Alva, OK and Oleta Rodgers of Northglenn, CO; and two grandchildren.
