Patsy Lurline Simmons passed away on March 12, 2025, in Keller, at the age of 94.
Born on April 16, 1930, in Hereford,, Patsy dedicated her life to caring for others, both professionally and personally.
Patsy had a long and fulfilling career as a school nurse until retirement. She served in multiple institutions, including Plainview ISD, Perryton ISD, Ochiltree General Hospital, and Plainview Hospital. Her dedication to the well-being of students and patients left a lasting impact on the communities she served.
Beyond her professional life, Patsy found joy in reading, cooking, and engaging with her community. She was an active volunteer at local food pantries and schools, always eager to lend a helping hand.
Patsy also enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and playing board games with her grandchildren, creating cherished memories through these shared moments.
Faith played an important role in Patsy’s life. She attended First Presbyterian Church in Plainview and later worshiped at New Braunfels Presbyterian Church.

Patsy is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Elvin Simmons, Sr. and her brother Howard Ramsey.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Debbie Goree, Becky Stanton (Dale), Denise Steigers (Curt), Wylene Simmons; son, Clarence Elvin Simmons, Jr.; sister, Polly Christianson; numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, extended family, loving friends and church family.
