Harper rites are held

Tim Harper, 68, of Spearman, died Feb. 27, 2025 in Amarillo.

Services were held Tuesday, March 4, at First Baptist Church in Spearman. Burial followed at Hansford Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

He was born Jan. 21, 1957 in Spearman, and graduated from Spearman High School in 1975. He served in the United States Navy. He married Terrie McClure on April 29, 1989.

He worked in the oilfield, first at Howard Drilling, and later Athena Energy and Wynn Crosby. In 2009, he formed Harper Production, LLC. He attended First Baptist Church in Spearman, where he was a member of the church band and taught Sunday school.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Joyce Garrett Harper; and one granddaughter, Josie McIntyre.

He is survived by his wife, Terrie of the home; four sons, Tyler Harper of Amarillo, Brodie Savage of Keller, Jonathan McIntyre of Elk City, OK and Marshall McIntyre of Cheyenne, OK; one brother, Tony Harper of Amarillo; two sisters, Carla Harper of California and Kelly Armes of Clarendon; and seven grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to one’s favorite charity.
