Erickson chosen as Young Careerist of Month

Staci Erickson has been selected as the Young Careerist of the Month by the Panhandle Professional Women’s Club.She is a math teacher and also coaches cross country and track.

Arts & Crafts Festival set

The Perryton Satellite Center’s Arts & Crafts Festival will be held on Nov. 2223, at the Expo Center. It is the 55th year for the event.The hours for the show will be Saturday, Nov. 22, from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 23, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

ALL-REGION CHOIR STUDENTS NAMED

All 17 state amendments passinelection

All 17 of the proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution were approved statewide after Tuesday’s election.In Ochiltree County, a total of 582 ballots were cast in the election, around an 11% turnout.County voters also approved all the proposed amendments on the election, most by wide margins.

United Way are now at 34%

The Ochiltree United Way’s 2026 campaign made more progress over the past week. It has now reached close to 34% of its $98,000 goal this week.It has raised $33,003 from donors so far.

Paxton sues Tylenol over autism claims

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is suing the makers of Tylenol, accusing Johnson and Johnson of failing to warn women about the risk of taking acetaminophen while pregnant, claiming it is a possible cause of autism.
