Numerous area organizations to benefit from The Panhandle Gives

Several local organizations and nonprofits will benefit during the upcoming Panhandle Gives charity campaign.Panhandle Gives is a nine-day charitable event hosted by the Amarillo Area Foundation (AAF). The campaign runs Nov. 24 through Dec. 2.

The Panhandle Crisis Center is offering the opportunity to help children and families in need this Christmas with the Angel Tree Project, with Angel Trees set up in local businesses to let benefactors purchase gifts for kids.

Handel’s “Messiah” set for Sunday

The 70th performance of George Frideric Handel’s “Messiah” will be presented by the Perryton Musical Arts Enrichment Foundation on Sunday, Nov. 30, in the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church. The annual Christmas tradition will begin at 6 p.m.

PPW begins Project Christmas Card fund drive

The Panhandle Professional Women has begun its annual Project Christmas Card scholarship drive.Donation boxes have been placed at several locations around town, complete with envelopes, for local residents to contribute to the fund.

Rifle and Pistol Club sets monthly meeting The Perryton Rifle and Pistol Club will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. at the indoor range south of the Ochiltree County Expo Building. The club will be discussing new and ongoing projects.
