Recent Ochiltree County Jail activity: Clinton Shane Woods, 33, was arrested on a warrant for a fourth degree felony charge of theft of petroleum product less than $10,000. He remained in county jail as of Wednesday morning.

City’s sales tax payment for May is down slightly

The City of Perryton’s sales tax payment was down a little over last May, but its payments to date are still up over 2023.The city received a payment of $280,819, down close to 2% over May 2023. But, its payments so far this year of $1.27 million are up nearly 1% from 2023.

Children’s fishing tournament set for June at Lake Fryer

Perryton High School’s graduating seniors walked through other Perryton Independent School District campuses last Thursday morning to accept congratulations from other students. Seniors started their tour through PHS before continuing to Perryton Kinder, Perryton Junior High, Wright Elementary, and Williams Intermediate.
