City’s sales tax payment drops

The City of Perryton took a substantial hit in its March sales tax payment.The city received $202,093, some 11% less than last March. For the year so far, however, its year to date payments of $768,493 are up 2%.Most area cities had decreases as well, but a few did notch increases.

Hospital Board reviews new OB equipment

The Ochiltree County Hospital District Board of Directors met on Monday evening in the conference center at Ochiltree General Hospital.Among other items on the agenda, the board members got to see some of the obstetrics equipment the hospital had received through a new grant.

The price of gasoline rose nearly a dollar per gallon in some cities after the joint U.S.-Israeli attack on Iran last week.The Dallas Morning Newsreported gas prices are now at their highest level since President Trump took office in January 2025.

OGH Auxiliary has program on museum

The Ochiltree General Hospital Auxiliary met March 2.The program was given by Stacy Brown and Yancy Judice on the Museum of the Plains. Brown said they try to keep things updated and have new things to see.
