Alan and Barbara Herz of Perryton announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their son, Brian Herz, to Ellie Day of Waco, daughter of Judge Chris and Cindy Day of Jacksonville. The couple will be married on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Tyler Presbyterian Church in Tyler.

Night quilt guild has program on creative uses for fabrics

The night group of the Friendship Quilt Guild met April 13 at Community Worship Center. President Pam Sanders opened the meeting with prayer. Members enjoyed a fun and informative program presented by Ilene Floyd, Merlyn Forrest and Barbara Hawkins.

Jennie Junes have program on cosmetology center at FPC Allen Campus

The Jennie June Club met April 14 at Perry Memorial Library. Penny Clark, president, welcomed the group. Hostesses were Janet Blasingame and Ruth Roberson. Phillis Oquin introduced Kevin Harrison, who presented the program.

Eta Alpha donates to scholarship fund

The Eta Alpha chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society met for its April meeting at New Hope Fellowship. Special guest was Marilyn Stone, area coordinator from Canyon. The opening thought was given by Laurette Wauer.

Linda Kile, Zulema Miranda, Toni Boren, Nancy Cain and Brenda Griffin are total rock stars. These girls whipped up 37 dozen bierox on Tuesday afternoon, plus nine more dozen to be served for our noon meal on Wednesday.

Quilt guild day group has program on fabric frames

The Friendship Quilt Guild day group met April 14 at Community Worship Center. The program on making projects with fabric frames and pictures was given by Merlyn Forrest, Ilene Floyd and Barbara Hawkins. They taught the proper way to clean old fabrics and doilies.
