Day quilt guild has program on ‘quilting commandments’

The day group of the Friendship Quilt Guild met Feb. 9 at Community Worship Center. The program was given by Cynthia Shattles, on “The Ten Commandments of Quilting.” She gave a list of 10 things for quilting: 1. Use a 1/4 inch seam. 2.

Alamo Club learns about history of Monopoly

The Ochiltree County 4-H Alamo Club met on Monday, Feb. 7 at the Expo Center. Members created Valentines to share with someone they love. After the business meeting, Darlee George gave the program, “The History of Monopoly.” The youth then played board games and enjoyed refreshments.

This week at Ochiltree County Senior Citizen Center we have PARSPA and the American Legion meeting on Monday. On Wednesday, the United Way board is on the calendar. We are cruising this week, gaining strength for what’s coming up – our Valentine’s Banquet on Monday, Feb. 14.
