RIBBON CUTTING FOR FRIDA’S HAIR STUDIO—The Perryton-Ochiltree Chamber of Commerce gathered last week for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the grand opening of Frida’s Hair Studio at 105 S. Main in Perryton. The hair salon is owned by Lilyana Revilla.

Floyd gives program to day quilt group

The Friendship Quilt Guild day group met May 11 at Community Worship Center. Hostesses were Ilene Floyd, Barbara Hawkins and Merlyn Forrest. The nominating committee reported on the new slate of officers.

Motloch named as PPW Young Careerist of Month

The Panhandle Professional Women’s Club has named Lauren Motloch as its Young Careerist of the Month. She is the county executive director for the Farm Service Agency. The requirements for her job are a one year training program, on the job training and a college degree.

Our 50/50 winner last week was Linda Kile. She tried to sneak out early, but luckily I was able to convince her to wait. It worked out well for her and the OCSCA, because she donated her winnings back to the center. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. Thank you Linda.

Wolf Creek Chapter celebrates 30 years

Wolf Creek chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution celebrated the 30th anniversary of the organizing of the chapter with a luncheon on Saturday, April 23 at the Museum of the Plains. Around 50 members and guests attended the event.
