Ronnie James Kear

Ronnie James Kear passed away at home on Monday, April 20, 2020 in Perryton at the age of 76.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Community Worship Center Family Center in Perryton with Rev. Kevin Britton officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.

Ronnie was born Nov. 13, 1943 in Casper, Wyoming to Clyde and Marion (Lamey) Kear. He married Linda Simons on Feb. 24, 1964 in Casper. They moved to Perryton in 1975, where they raised their three children.

Ronnie supported his children and served his community as a board of director of the Perryton Vicinity Activity Center and supporting the Perryton FFA and Ochiltree County Junior Livestock Association.

After his retirement as Vice President of Enerpipe Corporation, he and Linda enjoyed traveling and spending time in places including New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota and Florida. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Tom and Joe.

He is survived by his wife, Linda, of 56 years; one daughter Allison Conover and husband, Mike of Fort Worth; two sons, Kirk and wife, Dawn Rhea, of Canyon, and Eric and wife, Doris of Perryton; seven grandchildren, Kalli Conover, Amanda Conover, Chance Conover, Erica Hester, Jessica Kear, McKinlea Kear and Pace Kear; and three great grandchildren, Lizzie Spencer, Autumn Wynn, Maggie Ham.

He is also survived by a sister, Rowena Allen and husband, Jerry of Las Vegas, Nevada and a brother Skip and wife, Doris of Dubois, Wyoming, and extended family in Wyoming.

Family requests memorials be sent to Ochiltree County Jr. Livestock Association, 402 Expo Dr, Perryton, Tx 79070 or to one’s favorite charity.
