The PHS powerlifting squads competed in a rare Thursday meet in Borger. Despite being a weekday, the outcome was the same. Both the Rangers and Rangerettes easily defeated the competition to take first place.

The Rangerettes had eight first place lifters. Estefania Espino, Carolina Holguin, Dalia Becerril, Cheyanne Buck, Nuvia Gonzalez, Alejandra Salas, Andrea Fabela and Irma Rodriquez all easily outlifted the competition to win gold.

All the Rangerette lifters who did not finish in first place were in weight classes where one of their teammates won. Third place finishers for Perryton included Melissa Ramos and Rubi Borjas. Aliyah Valenzuela and Daniela Llamas were fourth and fifth respectively in their class. Evelyn Becerril (seventh), Fatima Estrada (eighth), Catey Thomas (11th) and Dennise Gomez (12th) competed in the same weight class.

The Rangers had four first-place lifters: Caleb Hernandez (114 pound), Joseph Raissez (181 pound), Alonso Tarango (220 pound) and Yordi Hernandez (SHW). Isaac Castro was second in the 123-pound group.
