Robert “Redneck” McCune, 50, of Perryton, passed away on Feb. 7, 2020 in Amarillo.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, Feb.12, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church in Perryton, with Rev. Joe Stepp officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton.

Robert was born March 13, 1969 to Glenn McCune and Margaret McCune. He attended Jacksonville school. In August 2008 he married Kim Lawson in Las Vegas, NV. Robert worked for DCP Midstream as a Field Operator. Robert was a Desert Storm Veteran. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, an avid golfer, and he was active in Perryton’s Jaycees.

Robert is survived by his wife, Kim McCune, of Perryton; daughters, Brandi McKenzie and husband Ty of Wichita, KS, Cyndi Hunter and fiance Tyson Painter of Perryton, Brittnay Reyes and boyfriend Ace Anaya of Perryton, and Karissa Cornelious and husband Shawn of Perryton; father, Glenn McCune of Jacksonville; brothers, Scott McCune of Jacksonville, Richard McCune of Perryton, and Mike McCune and wife Roxie of Perryton; grandkids, Ty McKenzie, Alexis McKenzie, Keagan McKenzie, Ariel Hunter, Dawson Villines, Eli Reyes, Aja Reyes, Gianna Reyes, Carter Cornelious, Caitlyn Painter, Preston Painter, and Jessica Painter; and great-grandson Matthew Painter.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret McCune.
