The Perryton School Board officially launched its search for a new PISD superintendent during a special meeting Friday at noon.

Board president Monty Kinnard said the board has basically two options to conduct the search: have current Superintendent Dr. Tim Little conduct the search or use a firm or entity to coordinate the search for the district, at a cost.

Kinnard explained that if they hire a firm specializing in that it could cost $8,000-$10,000. The Region 16 Service Center can also assist with the search, at a cost of around $4,000 plus mileage.
