Most amendments passed in state election Tuesday

Voters in Ochiltree County and across the State of Texas cast ballots in a Constitutional Amendment Election on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Of 5,140 registered voters in Ochiltree County, only 817 voted in Tuesday’s election.

Only one of the proposed amendments – Proposition 1, permitting someone to hold more than one office as a municipal judge at the same time – was voted down by Texas voters.

Following are the local and statewide results for all of the proposed amendments: on the ballot on Tuesday:

Proposition1: The constitutional amendment permitting a person to hold more than one office as a municipal judge at the same time.

In Ochiltree County, the official vote tally for Proposition 1 was 297 for and 503 against, while statewide, the results were 681,139 for and 1,289,626 against.
