Rettes defeated in heartbreaker

The Rangerettes battled hard in their last home match on Saturday. Perryton hosted the favored Borger Lady Bulldogs. Borger defeated the Rettes in three games earlier in the season. The Lady Bulldogs had nothing to gain or lose in Saturday’s match. They would remain in third place in the district standings with a win or loss. The Rettes had everything to gain. Perryton needed a victory to pull even with Dalhart for the final playoff spot.

Borger took up where they left off and controlled the first game of the match winning going away by the final score of 25-16. The Lady Bulldogs were in charge of game two early and led as much as 12-3. Perryton came charging back to take the win by the score of 25-22.

The Lady Bulldogs secured the win in the third game by the score of 25-18. They led early and answered each Rangerette rally. The fourth game was an outstanding performance by the Rettes. They dominated the Lady Bulldogs and won easily by the score of 25-10. It was the best game of the entire season for the Rettes.
