An October snow storm passed through the Panhandle, dumping six inches of dense snow in Perryton and anywhere from five to nine inches throughout the region. Temperatures quickly rose above freezing on Friday morning, and most of the snow had melted off by Friday afternoon. While the snow made travel challenging, area youngsters (and the young-at-heart) took the opportunity to build snowmen and have snowfights. In the photo at left, Isaac Rodriguez wasted no time getting out late Thursday afternoon to play in the snow that blanketed the area. Isaac is the son of Luis and Monica Rodriguez of Perryton. In the right photo, a Halloween themed snowman appeared in the yard of Chris and Marissa Najera, 2105 Texas.
