Elks run over Rangers, 43-13

The Rangers traveled to Stratford to face the stateranked Elks, but Stratford’s powerful offense gave them a 43-13 victory Friday night.

The Rangers were outplayed on offense and defense by the Elks, but Perryton did rally in the second half, playing much better on both sides of the ball.

The Elks had the ball first in the contest, and despite some good defense by Perryton, scored quickly on a 10 play 75 yard drive. The Elks marched down the field and were soon on the Ranger 17 yard line. Elk quarterback Walker McBryde connected with Abraham Villegas on a 17 yard strike to give them the lead with 9:35 left in the first quarter. The extra point was good, and Stratford was up 7-0.
