Bonny Lofland passed away at age 92 on Sept. 30, 2019, in Port Lavaca.

Rosary will be said at 1:00 pm at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 67 Milam Street in Point Comfort Oct. 4, 2019, with a funeral mass following. A memorial and internment will be held in Perryton on Monday, Oct. 7, 2019, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

She was the fourth of eight children born to Glen and Helen Marcellus of Liberal, Kansas. Bonny and her family relocated to the Texas Panhandle in the mid 1950’s where she raised five children, all of whom graduated from Perryton High School and continued on to some level of higher education.

In addition to being a wonderful Mother and Granny, she worked at jobs in the medical field, oil field, and real estate as well as an entrepreneur in the consumer service industry. In 2001, she again relocated to Port Lavaca with her youngest daughter.

Bonny was active in the Catholic churches of Point Comfort, Port Lavaca, and Perryton. She was also a member of the church altar society, local garden club, and Beta Sigma Phi Chapter of Laureate Theta Epsilon Sorority.

She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Sue Lyon, her middle son, Kip Lofland, and two grandsons, Rick Lyon and Bart Scroggs.

She is survived by sons Lloyd (Jim) Lofland of Port Lavaca and Tom Lofland of Spearfish, South Dakota, and daughter Chris Scroggs of Port Lavaca. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
