The Rangers will host the Childress Bobcats this Friday night at Ranger Field. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Admission to the game will be free, thanks to Seaboard Foods. The company bought the game out, so everyone will be admitted free of charge.

In addition, Seaboard has also donated 200 pork burgers to the PHS ag department, which runs the concession stand, for them to sell as a fund-raiser.

Motorcycle riders in the area are invited to gather behind PHS Friday night at 6:30 p.m. to help “Rev Up the Rangers” as they head onto the field to take on Childress. Coach Steven Coursey stressed that “this is a super special tradition here in Perryton. It definitely is something that sends chills up and down your spine and gets our kids ready to go!”

The Bobcats are 0-1. They lost their season opener to Bushland, 29-22. Bushland was ahead 20-0 at the end of the first quarter, and was up 27-7 at the half. The Bobcats rallied in the second half, but came up short.
