County’s first public EV charging station installed

North Plains Electric Cooperative installed Ochiltree County’s first public electric vehicle (EV) charging station Tuesday morning at the Museum of the Plains.

“This effort was made by North Plains Electric and the museum to commemorate Perryton’s 100th birthday,” said general manager Randy Mahannah. “This also helps us kickstart our local ability to be a part of the most talked about advancement in vehicle technology since Henry Ford revolutionized the auto industry.”
