Holiday rainstorm drops over an inch

The Fourth of July holiday was followed the next day with a large thunderstorm that brought an inch or better to most areas of the county.

The official rainfall, from KEYE Radio, for the City of Perryton was 1.05 inches of moisture.

Edwin and Wanda Larmon, in the 2100 block of Grinnell, reported 1.10 inches. Vern Meller, at Drake and Central, recorded .75 of an inch of rain.

Mary Dudley, in the central part of town, received 1.10 inches. Randy and Cami Skaggs, one mile southeast of town, picked up .98 of an inch of moisture.

Steve Johnson, 13 and a half miles northwest of town, reported .92 of an inch. Foster Testing, in Farnsworth, recorded .75 of an inch of rain. Ron Stinson, in Waka, picked up .40 of an inch of moisture.
