City sales tax payment is up 11% in April

The City of Perryton saw another good month of sales tax revenue in April. The city’s check for $242,647 was up almost 11% from last April. Its payments to date of $1.033 million are close to 15% more than 2018.

Around the area, most cities also saw increases in their April payments.

Pampa’s payment of $324,841 was over 10% higher than April 2018. For the year, its payments of $1.42 million are up around 1%.

Spearman also saw a healthy increase. Its check for $44,430 was up over 13% from last April, and its year to date payments of $175,257 are up almost 5%.

Borger also notched a higher payment in April. It received $333,555, an increase of a little over 4% from last April. Its year to date payments of $1.43 million are around 2.5% higher than 2018.
