The Rangerette softball team closed out the first round of district play with a trip to Dalhart on Saturday. Both the Rettes and the Lady Wolves were in search of their first district win. The victory would place the winning team in line for a playoff spot as well.

Defensive errors caused the Rettes problems again as they lost to the Lady Wolves by the final score of 19-9.

Cassidy Butler pitched for Perryton. She allowed 9 earned runs on 18 hits. She pitched well by striking out three Lady Wolves and walking four batters.

Perryton committed 7 fielding errors, which was the difference in the game. The errors allowed 10 unearned runs.
