The rains return

The weather conditions over the Texas Panhandle have developed in the last few days into bringing widespread rain to the area. The much needed moisture started during the night on Monday, March 11 and continued throughout the day on Tuesday. It also rained Tuesday night, increasing the total.

The official rainfall for the City of Perryton, from KEYE, for Monday night and Tuesday was .35 of an inch. With another .88 of an inch of moisture Tuesday night, the official total is 1.23 inches of rain.

Vern Meller, at Drake and Central, reported a total of 1.10 inches. Edwin and Wanda Larmon, in the 2100 block of Grinnell, recorded a total of 1.29 inches of moisture.

Mary Dudley, in the central part of town, received a total of 1.20 inches. Randy and Cami Skaggs, one mile southeast of town, picked up a total of 1.44 inches of rain.
