Hendrix rites held

Rosalee Reed Hendrix, 91, of Hardesty, OK, died Jan. 31, 2019 at Good Samaritan Center in Liberal, KS.

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 4, at Hardesty United Methodist Church with Chris Liebman officiating. Burial was in Hartville Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon, OK.

She was born Nov. 18, 1927 in Miami. She graduated from Perryton High School in 1945, and attended Northwest Texas State College in Denton. She married Joye Travis “Jack” Hendrix on Feb. 9, 1947 in Perryton.

She was a librarian, licensed cosmetologist, owner-operator of a laundromat, caregiver and school bus driver.

She was preceded in death by her parents, D.H. and Virginia Elizabeth (Logan) Reed; and one grandson, Wil Avent.

She is survived by three daughters, Cynthia DeArmond of Spearman, Shanna Medeiros of Liberal, KS and Rene Avent of Stinnett; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial to Hardesty United Methodist Church, in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
