The Rangerette basketball team was primed for their district opener at home on Friday. The Rettes hosted the Dumas Demonettes for a tough match-up. The match-up turned out to be only close on paper as the Rettes dominated the game to win by the final score of 53-29.

Perryton hit the floor on fire in the first quarter. Senior Graison Moseley shot lights-out by knocking down 8 points including two three-point baskets in the period. Kynleigh Vela and Kate Ramirez also hit threepoint shots as the Rettes led by the score of 16-5 as the quarter ended.
