The Ranger basketball team used the Christmas break to get in several games at the Gruver Tournament. The tourney allows the Rangers to get in numerous games against strong competition without travelling a great distance. It is perfect for the holiday break.

The Rangers opened play against the West Texas High School Comanches on Thursday. Perryton controlled the flow of the game and secured a solid win by the final score of 47-35. The Rangers outscored the Comanches in each quarter.

Griffin Broswoske led all scorers in the contest with 19 points. Brayden Klafka shot lights-out from beyond the arc, scoring 16 points in the win. Johan Carrasco scored 5 points while Jose Magallanes and Kevin Arellano scored 4 and 3 points respectively.
