The Rangerette basketball team took to the road and travelled south to once again play in the Lorena Tournament over the weekend. The long trip allows the Rettes to bond as a team and play teams they do not typically face in the season. It is a good litmus test for the Rettes.

The Rangerettes played very well at the tournament. The team improved their free throw shooting percentage and won three of their four games. Perryton also capitalized on increased offensive production from different players as they captured fifth place in the tournament.

The Rettes opened play against a team form Waco and won in a nail biter. Perryton pulled out a one-point victory by the final score of 37-36. The Rettes subdued a late charge by Waco to secure the win. Kate Ramirez led the Rangerettes offensively with 9 points. Klaudia Johnson sparked the team with 8 points of her own.
