Bobby Lee “Bob” Wray, 88, of Perryton, died Monday, Dec.3, 2018 in Perryton.

Services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Boxwell Brothers Chapel in Perryton, officiated by Rev. Darrell Burton. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.

Mr. Wray was born on Sept. 26, 1930 to Samuel Wray and Mae Dee Parker Wray in Amarillo, (Potter County). On May 24, 1947 Bob married his beloved Bonnie Delphia Monroe in Clayton, NM. He and “Babe,” as he lovingly called her, were married for 67 years before she passed away in 2014.

Bob lived in Perryton for 59 years, working in the oilfield for Baker and Taylor, and later owning the Northside Phillips 66 service station before retiring in the 1990’s.

He loved his family and friends, often holding cookouts and fish fries to get the family together. He loved working with wood, fishing and working on all things mechanical. He was also an avid baseball and football fan, cheering on the Dodgers and Astros, and Cowboys and Oilers.

In addition to his wife, Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Betty and his brother Eddie, his grandson Nicky, his great-granddaughter Jordan, and one great-greatgranddaughter.

Bob is survived by four children, Sharlene Anita Wray of Deer Park, Pamala Christene Stroud and husband Darrell of Arlington, Roxanne Vaughn and husband Sam of Amarillo, and Bobby Lee Wray, Jr. and wife Veronica of Perryton; 22 grandchildren, 46 greatgrandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ochiltree General Hospital Hospice Volunteers, 3101 Garrett Dr., Perryton, TX 79070.
