Jennie June book fair set for October

The Jennie June Club of Perryton will hold their fall Book Fair for 2018 at Perry Memorial Library during the month of October. Patrons can buy used book and videos at a bargain price, 50 cents for hardbacks, 25 cents for paperbacks and $1 for videos during the special month.

The Jennie June Club is not just about selling books. They have had many money raising projects over the years, to help support several local funds and organizations. Continuing projects of the club since 1988 include the Perryton High School Permanent Art Collection, the junior high school art program, nurses’ fund at Wright and Williams, and the Panhandle Crisis Center. The club also supports the Frank Phillips College Scholarship Fund, the Museum of the Plains, Ochiltree County Senior Citizens Association and Big Brothers Big Sisters. The club has also contributed to many additions and improvements to the city’s parks over the years
