During the Labor Day holiday, Dr. Claude Betty’s son, Gerald, was presented with a Friendship Star Quilt in memory of his father.

Gerald was born while Dr. Betty was serving in the military.

Dr. Betty was on the list to receive a Quilt of Valor from the Friendship Quilt Guild when he passed away.

Since a Quilt of Valor can only be given to a living veteran, guild member Bonita Campbell, decided a quilt needed to be made in his memory, and presented to his family in recognition of his nearly 50 years of service to Ochiltree County and the area.
