Rangerettes finish the season strongly

The Rangerette softball team battled right down to the last out to close out their season strongly. The Rettes were in a tough spot heading into the last game of the regular season. They needed a win over the Dalhart Lady Wolves, who had already defeated them once earlier in the season by the score of 15-10.

A win on the road by Perryton would cause an additional play-in game to decide who would go to the playoffs. A win by Dalhart would send them to the playoffs as the fourth-place finisher in District 1-4A.

The Rangerettes travelled to Dalhart ready to play last Saturday. Perryton jumped out to an early lead and outplayed the Lady Wolves to pick up a win by the score of 15-12 in 7 innings.
