Pauline Frances Finke, 90, formerly of Perryton, died Friday, April 6, 2018 in Wichita, KS. Services will be held at 10: a.m., Friday, April 13, 2018 at First United Methodist Church in Perryton, with Rev. Mark Metzger officiating. Burial will follow in Ochiltree Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton. Mrs. Finke was born on Sept. 11, 1927 in Windsor, MO to Norman Cox and Mary Epperson Cox. She graduated from Central Missouri State with a bachelor of education degree in 1945. After teaching in Norris and Blue Springs, MO, she moved to Eureka, KS where she met and married David Finke. The couple relocated to Perryton, in 1961, where they raised their family. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church where she delivered Meals on Wheels and greatly enjoyed her Sunday school class. She retired from Courson Oil and Gas in 1992 and had been active in Desk and Derrick club while employed in the oilfield business. She was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi and an American Red Cross volunteer. Mrs. Finke is survived by one son, David Finke of Perryton; one daughter, Linda Reidle of Wichita, KS; two grandchildren, Robin Reidle, also of Wichita, and Robert Reidle of Lawrence, KS; two sisters, Nadine Gist of Leavenworth, KS, and Anna Lee Barron of Phoenix, AZ; two brothers, William Cox and wife Patsy, and Gerald Cox and wife, Kay, all of Leeton, MO; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Finke was preceded in death by her husband David Finke; one brother Floyd Cox; and two sisters, Margaret Lafavor and Nina Fay Scheider.
