The Perryton High School golf teams have battled the wind and weather this season but have continued where they left off last year. The Rangers are loaded with a lot of senior talent, but also have promising underclassmen that are carrying their weight. The Rangers opened the season at the Dumas Invitational and charged towards the greens.


The Rangers led the field going into the second round of action. Wind and a few wayward shots by the Rangers allowed the streaking Randall Raiders to win the tourney. Perryton finished second, 8 strokes behind Randall. Senior Kolton Bruner led the Rangers by shooting 76- 74 for a 150 total. That total placed him fifth as an individual.Senior Paxton Denton shot a 74-76 for a 150 total as well which placed him in sixth place. Freshman Cuyler Waide shined shooting 74-78 for a 157 total. Chris Hermosillo shot 81-81 for 162 and freshman Skylar Hall totaled 92-92 for 184
