Rangers top Falcons

The Perryton Rangers completed a sweep on the season of the Bushland Falcons on Friday. Perryton opened district play against Bushland with a victory of 52-41. Friday’s game played much closer, with strong defense. The Rangers trailed throughout the game, but charged back in the fourth quarter to secure the win by the score of 44-40.

The Rangers overcame a slow start, as they only scored 5 points in the opening period. Ryan Davis knocked down a three-point bucket and Steven Hernandez scored a deuce to keep the Rangers close. They trailed by the score of 7-5 as the first quarter ended.

Griffin Brosowske warmed up for the Rangers in the second quarter hitting 4 points. Hernandez scored 4 points as well, but the Rangers could not close the gap. They trailed by the score of 22-18 at the half.
